What You Need for a Caravan Vacation by the Sea

In this article , we would like to share with you what you need to take with you on a camping trip at sea .

We won't give you a detailed list of all the items you need, but we will try to give you tips to avoid making time-consuming "mistakes" during your vacation.

This article is for those who stay in the campsite for a medium to long time, that is, those who stay in the same place from 10 days.

We tend to carry something with us most of the time because we feel like we've been away from home for too long.

This overload of junk often leads us to work, even on vacation, so instead you have to remember that you're camping to enjoy the summer, not to create a second home.

The key word is adaptation!

If we decide to leave right now, the time we have to get ready is around 30 - 40 minutes, a little more than a normal weekend in short.

This constant search for the right combination of comfort and camping gear to take with us comes from the fact that it is a real trauma to take everything apart after the first summer at the campsite!

ASSEMBLE THE COMPLETE Awning

Awning, mat and sunshade. Not more.

Unfortunately in the summer any patio, some more, some less, turns into a small oven, making it really difficult to live in.

We just mean the fully enclosed patio with windows and mosquito nets… In short, the classic camping patio.

On the other hand, when it rains you are almost in a castle and nothing can get wet.

But we're at sea in the summer and it's hardly rained for days, so we found this compromise.

We eat outdoors at noon but we must have a plan to make sure things don't get wet if it rains.

However, this will save you a lot of time in assembling, disassembling and cleaning the awning.

Most of the time, we are very worried that everything we have outside does not get wet...bikes, chairs, tables, kitchen etc...

We need to do some order, some of them dry after 2 hours even if they get wet due to the storm and therefore we can wash our hands safely.

For example: bikes, tables, chairs, even if they get wet, nothing tragic will happen, just clean them well and they'll dry in the blink of an eye and they're good as new.

The only precaution you need to pay more attention to is the kitchen corner with the pots. To overcome this problem, we have a barbecue cover that we place in our kitchen. This protects it from water.

We absolutely do not trust the awning because we know very well that if the situation worsens and the wind starts to get stronger, we must close it immediately.

WIND AND Awning

It's insane to think about tying up the awning and making sure it stays out all holiday.

It is not a joke with nature and should be closed during the flight if the wind is blowing strongly.

If you want to go home with all your eyes on the wind, there are special apps for your smartphone that will help you understand how hard the wind will blow.

If it goes above 60/70 km/h, we prefer to turn it off and sleep peacefully, avoiding getting up at 3am to "save" it.

MAKING LUNCH

We prefer not to light the stove at noon when the weather is hot, we prefer to never cook complex dishes when it is hot.

Eating something fresh and quick when the sun goes down is now an established habit for us.

We prefer cold pasta, boiled eggs, omelets, cold cuts, mozzarella, tuna fish, salads, various vegetables and fruits.

If necessary, we prefer to cook it early in the morning and then put the preparation in the refrigerator.

DRESSES FOR EVENING

Beaches can be quite cold and windy in the evenings, so you should definitely have warm clothes with you.

Courage to START

If you are now facing your vacation in a more complex way and all this is difficult for you, we understand...

But trust us and start slowly so you'll find this more minimal holiday version is for you.
